Georgia at the moment is in a difficult situation, said Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, speaking in Parliament, Business Georgia reports.
"We are facing a very difficult period, are facing many choices, in political and economic spheres. Many citizens experience difficulties, and major problems are not yet solved - we did not manage to achieve a good result in employment, the development of domestic production has not reached the scale that we wanted and that is necessary to the people. Due to high inflation, life became more difficult for our citizens,” said the Prime Minister.
According to him, the problems that exist in the country are to a certain extent explained by the global economic crisis and the Georgian government is doing everything to overcome it. Thus, he said, over the last two years, despite the global crisis, the public health sector continued to grow and major planned projects were completed.
