Astana to host 7th World Islamic Economic Forum

Astana will host the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum in June. The forum will see 30 incumbent and former heads of states and governments, Trend cites the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies as saying.


Businessmen, experts, scientists and public figures will be at the forum.
The main topic is “Global economic development: relations, competition, cooperation”.


Kazakhstan has become the first state in Central Asia to host the World Islamic Economic Forum.


The forum was initially planned as a sort of Davos forum within the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). It is the main annual economic summit of members of the OIC.
