Turkmenistan adopts laws on Central Bank and credit institutions

Turkmen Parliament (Majlis) adapted laws "On Central Bank of Turkmenistan" and "On Credit Institutions and Banking" at a meeting recently held in Ashgabad, Trend reports.

These new laws are expected to ensure the transparency and openness of financial transactions and help Turkmenistan’s further integration into the system of international relations, as well as ensure a stable national currency rate and increase public confidence in banks.

MPs say that the adoption of these norms will contribute to acceleration of the ongoing modernization of banking structures, the introduction of modern forms and management methods in their activities, including electronic payments and use of Internet.
