The Mukholskaya hydro electric plant with an output of 0.9 MW has been launched at the Chereksky District of Kabardino-Balkaria after reconstruction, RIA Novosti-South cites the RusHydro office in the republic.
The plant was constructed on Cherek Balkarsky River in 1962. Equipment at the dam was replaced in 2009-2011. This allowed the output to increase from 0.64 MW to 0.9 MW. The building was reconstructed as well.
Mukholskaya dam is a derivative type of dam. It is party of the RusHydro office in Kabardino-Balkaria. The dam is located at Verkhnyaya Balkaria village of Chereksky District. The dam produces 6 million KW/h.
