The Director-General of the Iranian Airports Company, Esmaeili, said that in the coming two years the government will allocate about $120 million towards the development of airports, Iran News reports.
According to Esmaeili, the funds are intended to expand airfields, as well as constructing terminals and control towers. About $20 million of the allocated funds will be used for the purchase of navigation and communication equipment.
