Mexico is interested in developing economic ties with Azerbaijan, especially in the energy sphere, Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs Patricia Espinosa said at a meeting with her Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov, Trend reports.
The Azerbaijani minister of foreign affairs is on a visit to Mexico.
Espinosa expressed interest in sending Mexican youth to study at the Oil Academy of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan opened its first embassy in Latin America in Mexico, demonstrating interest in cooperation with the country, Mammadyarov said. The minister believes that cooperation may be improved in TV communication.
Mammadyarov also made a speech at a science conference organized by the Diplomatic Academy of the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs. He informed the people present about the achievements of Azerbaijan in politics, economy and energy spheres in the last years.
The minister talked on the state of process on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
