The authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria propose including six industrial projects costing about 15 billion rubles in an investment plan for the North Caucasus Federal District, RIA Novosti reports, quoting the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Communications of the republic.
The approved list of projects includes construction of a plant for the production of polyethylene terephthalate for the food and textile industries with a capacity of 486,000 tons per year, production of digital medical X-ray equipment, plywood, textiles, technical upgrading of production stone-drilling tools, as well as a joint project with Polish businessmen, the statement says.
The projects should be implemented in 2011-2013 and will create about 2,500 new jobs.
