Kuban governor and LUKOIL to reduce prices for electricity together

The Kuban Governor, Alexander Tkachyov, and the president of LUKOIL, Vagit Alekperov, have signed a deal on cooperation in developing the electricity sphere in the region, Yuga.ru reports.


The document involves reconstruction of the Krasnodar thermal power plant, which provides heating and electricity to the capital of Kuban and 40% of the region, the regional administration said.


The advanced steam-gas system, producing 410 MW, will be launched this year. It will be a reliable source of energy for the city and will open new opportunities for economic development, construction of new residential areas and enterprises.


Vagit Alekperov and Alexander Tkachyov agreed to cooperate in reducing electricity prices. This will be achieved through modernization of equipment and technologies, which will reduce the price for producing electricity. LUKOIL is also a partner of Krasnodar Territory in constructing a highway and facilities for the Russian Formula-1 Grand Prix.


Governor Tkachyov guaranteed that the local authorities will provide full support and comfortable conditions to investors and business.
