The Ministry of Economy of the Dagestani Republic presented its strategy for social and economic development to 2025. High-ranking officials, including the head of the republic, Magamedsalam Magomedov, attended the presentation

The strategy includes all spheres of economic and social activity, turning them into a unified complex. The document stipulates increasing living standards, as well as boosting the most promising branches of the economy, such as tourism and agriculture.
After executing the development program stipulated by the strategy, Dagestan is expected to become one of the 20 most developed regions of the Russian Federation. By 2025 Dagestan should receive an income of 100 billion rubles a year. Federal donations to the republic are expected to decrease to 30% of its budget.
The strategy will serve as an example for the North Caucasus Federal District's future development strategy.
