The inflation rate for March, compared with the previous month inflation rate in Georgia, was at zero level. As the Georgian Statistics Office told Trend, this figure was mainly influenced by change in prices in the following groups:
The prices for food and beverages decreased by 0.1 per cent, while the proportion of the general inflation rate was at -0.05 percent. The largest decrease in prices was on milk, cheese and eggs - 4.8 percent, vegetables and melons – 2.2 per cent, and sugar and confectionery products - 1.9 percent.
The prices for clothes and shoes decreased by 2.8 percent.
