International Bank of Azerbaijan recognized as best in CIS

The leader in the banking market in Azerbaijan - the International Bank of Azerbaijan - has won first prize at an international competition, "Banks of the CIS, Baltic states and Georgia -2010" in the nomination of “Best Automated Bank”, Trend reports.

The IBA Chairman Jahangir Hajiyev was recognized as the "Banker of the Year (best top-manager)" in  the competition of “Best Banks of GUAM-2010” which became the 44th award won by the International Bank of Azerbaijan starting with an award for its contribution to the development of the banking sector in 2002.

The competition included the following nominations: the best bank for public service; best bank for corporate business, the most actively developing bank; best bank for development and implementation of new banking products; the best bank on the use of new technologies; best correspondent bank of the GUAM member-states.
