Iran plans to denominate its national currency 1000-fold, Minister of Economy and Finances Shamseddin Khoseini said, SMI2.ru reports.
The Central Bank initiated the process, which was approved by the parliament.
The minister said that denomination will reduce price rises and improve bank efficiency. He emphasized that they will first need to stabilize prices.
