The Kura River overflowed its banks, flooding the Gazakh district in Azerbaijan. In the Yukhari Salahli settlement the water destroyed a 240-meter-long dam, Trend reports.
According to the chairman of the rural municipality, Shahismaila Mamedov, about 50 hectares of land in Yukhari Salahli have been flooded. Currently, the only artesian well in the village is under the threat of destruction.
The Gazakh district is 520 km from Baku.
