Georgia allocates $35 million for regional development

   In Georgia the state has allocated 60 million lari (about $35 million) for the implementation of regional projects in Georgia, a spokesperson for the president, Manana Manjgaladze, told a briefing, Business Georgia reports.

"This sum will go towards funding rehabilitation projects for drinking-water systems, sewage systems, the reconstruction of roads and bridges, irrigation canals and other infrastructure projects, " Manjgaladze said, adding that the plan includes 333 projects.

She also noted that these projects will provide an opportunity to employ hundreds of people who live in the these areas of Georgia.
