South Caucasian Pipeline exports 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas in 3 months

The South Caucasian Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) exported 1.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas in January-March 2011, the same as in the same period of 2010, the Azerbaijani Statistics Service said, Business Georgia reports.


The pipeline exported 336.5 million cubic meters in January, 423.9 million cubic meters in February and 539.6 million cubic meters in March.


The pipeline exported 4.9 billion cubic meters of gas in 2010, exceeding the quantity in 2009 by 300 million cubic meters.


The South Caucasian Pipeline exports gas extracted at Shah-Deniz to Georgia and Turkey.
Shah Deniz has the following shares: BP (operator - 25.5%), Statoil (25,5%), SOCAR (10%), LUKOIL (10%), NICO (10%), Total (10%) and TPAO (9%).
