SOCAR launches new borehole in Caspian Sea

SOCAR (State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic) has launched a new borehole on the platform of Neftyanye Kamni-1887 in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, Trend cites a message published by SOCAR on Thursday as saying.


The daily debit of the borehole from an interval of 2512-2498 meters is 35 tons of oil and 22,000 cubic meters of gas.


Drilling was held by the Bail Limany, ordered by Neftyanye Kamni of SOCAR.


SOCAR said that Neftyaniye Kamni has been developing since 1949 and has over 182 million tons of oil reserves. Geological reserves reach 365 million tons of oil. Development of the field is expected to be completed by 2035.
