The Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources of Syria, Sufian al-Alao, said that, according to prepared projects, the gas pipeline being laid from Iran through Iraq and Syria will be connected to the Arabian gas pipeline in the near future, allowing the export of Iranian gas to Egypt, Iran News reports.
Sufian al-Alao said that Tehran, Baghdad and Damascus discussed the extension of the pipeline for about 2 thousand km, 700 km of which will be on the territory of Iran, 900 km - on Iraqi territory and 400 km - in Syria.
