Export duty on gasoline from May 1 is to increase by 44%, to $408.3 per ton - 90% of the rate of duty on oil, which will be implemented in May, RIA Novosti reports, quoting a source in one of the Russian financial authorities.
Many regions of Russia have encountered problems with gasoline in the past few days: increased prices and shortage of fuel, accompanied by excessive demand. The Ministry of Energy believes that the gasoline crisis is associated with a 67% increase in petroleum exports, and the retention of fuel by large companies.
