AMEC signs $600 million contract with BP

The British Petroleum corporation, a major operator of the Azeri-Shirag-Gunedshli, Baku-Tbili-Jeyhan and Shah-Deniz projects, has signed a $600 million contract with the AMEC company, Trend cites BP Azerbaijan's statement.

The contract will expire in 5 years. During this term, AMEC will serve as a major partner of BP in developing its projects in Azerbaijan.

Under the contract, AMEC will provide engineering studies, design activities and labour, aimed at identifying improvements in the efficiency of the processing plant and equipment, implementation of repairs and maintenance of the existing plant and machinery, design, engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning support for field facilities, support for delivery of minor modifications by the onshore and offshore engineering services teams.
