The President of the joint Chinese-Iranian Trade Organization, Asadolla Asgarouladi, declared that in his opinion the main objective of this year, named ‘The Year of Economic Jihad’ is to boost the economy and attract investment, Iran.ru reports.
Mr Asgarouladi added that right now the country is lacking investment, while there are a lot of promising enterprises and branches of industry in each province. He hopes that ‘the economic jihad’ will touch all the regions of the country, not only its capital.
The 5-year plan for Iran’s economic development stipulates that this year’s production should be aimed at exports.
