Petrol prices rise in Armenia

Flash, City Petrol Group and Max Oil have risen their fuel prices by 10 drams in Yerevan today. One liter of Regular gas is sold for 460 drams, rather than 450, Tert.am reports.

An analyst from the Capital paper Armenak Chatinyan said that the New-York exchange NYMEX is selling Brent oil for $113.57 per barrel, dropping by $4, according to information at 11.00.

World fuel prices dropped on May 1, reaching the level of March 15. The price was at $115 per liter. The price for Regular petrol was sold for 420 drams per liter.

Fuel prices rose by 20 drams in Armenia on April 27. 1 barrel of oil was worth an average of $123.

Chatinyan said that Flash (42.62% of share on the petrol market) and City Petrol Group (41.76% share) had made several statements, saying that they do not benefit from high fuel prices because they reduce sales and make them pay fines to foreign partners for unsold fuel.
