The number of gas consumers in Armenia reached 615,614, according to May 1, 2011, News Armenia cites the country’s gas monopolist ArmRosgazprom as saying.
The number of consumers rose by 2,723 in the first 4 months of 2011. Of them, 622 consumers joined the gas network in April.
The Armenian-Russian joint-stock company ArmRosgazprom was established in 1997. Gazprom and the government of Armenia are its shareholders. Russian transports gas to Armenia through Georgia.
