More than 60,000 trees will be planted in Sochi within the next few years in order to compensate for the damage that was caused to the environment during the construction of Olympic facilities in the city, RIA Novosti cites Sochi's mayor, Anatoly Pakhomov, as saying.
Pakhomov said that the number of trees that will be planted is two or three times greater than that of felled trees.
