The Ukrainian oil company Ukrtransnafta has started pumping Azeri Light oil through the Odessa-Brody pipeline in the designed averse direction for refineries in Western Ukraine, Trend cites the Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Ministry.
According to the news agency, a tanker with 80,000 tons of Azerbaijani oil destined for recycling has already arrived in the Ukrainian city of Odessa.
Experts believe that the oil supplies will allow an increase of the load capacity of Ukrainian oil transport, particularly the Odessa-Brody pipeline, and ensure the uninterrupted operation of Ukrainian refineries.
