Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri is on a visit to
Azerbaijan to attend the 18th exhibition and conference in Baku,
entitled Caspian Oil and Gas, which will be held on June 7-10, Trend
reports.
The conference gathers the leading specialists of the world oil
sphere. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attends the conference.
The Caspian Oil and Gas is supported by the Ministry of Industry and
Energy of Azerbaijan and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani
Republic (SOCAR). The exhibition was approved by the Global
Association of the Exhibition Industr (UFI) six years ago. This year
it was awarded with the Brand Award Azerbaijan 2010.
Over 300 companies from 28 states are expected to visit the
exhibition. This includes officials of oil and gas industry,
specialists in transport of oil and oil products, ecology and science.
Companies will take up 40% of the exhibition space.
It is sponsored by SOCAR, Caspian Geophysical, Cross Caspian, Oil and
Gas Logistics, BP, McDermott Caspian, Inpex, Conoco, OMV, RWE, Caspian
Pipe Coatings, and Nobel Oil. This shows that it grew by 25% compared
with the last year's exhibition.
The Hyatt Regency Hotel will host a conference on June 8, entitled
Caspian Oil and Gas. The conference will include talks on energy
security of Europe and the role of Azerbaijan, investments in
Azerbaijani exploration and development of natural resources.
