The British company BP has opened five laboratories in the Caucasus University in Azerbaijan, within the support framework of the educational sector of the country. The laboratories are apart of an education initiative of BP implemented by the Caucasus University, Trend reports.
The main aim of the project is training of experts in the spheres of chemistry, oil and gas and mechanical engineering. BP also sponsored the establishment of a new faculty, which enables the project's implementation.
The project costs $2.24 billion.
The memorandum on cooperation between BP and the Caucasus University was signed in 2009. The project consists of three stages.
