Turkey lifts some limitations on alcohol sales

The Supreme Administrative Court of Turkey lifted limitations on
alcohol sales on May 25.

The limitations were set in January 2011, raising age restrictions for
purchase of alcohol from 18 to 24 years. Alcohol was forbidden for
sales in small bottles.

The Association of Ankara Bars sent a petition to the Supreme
Administrative Court of Ankara to lift the limitations. Liberals also
expressed discontent with the restrictions.
