Iranian Deputy Minister for Agriculture Jihad Abbasi visited Urmia. He said that Iran will be able to fulfill its demand for meat at the end of 2011-2015 plan, Iran News reports.
Abbasi underlined that meat production will exceed internal demand and will be exported.
The deputy minister said that about $300 million were provided for fuel and ventilation for animals. This will allow reduction of expenses and costs of products.
Farmers will be given beneficial loans for purchase of cattle. They will be able to carry out other agricultural activities simultaneously.
The country produced 900,000 tons of meat in the last two years, which still requires fulfillment of 10% of internal demands.
