The inflation rate in Iran rose by 0.2% in April 20 - May 22, reaching 14.2%, the Central Bank said, Trend reports.
Prices for raw materials rose by 1.7%, compared with the previous month.
Some economists believe that the rising prices were caused by cancelling of state subsidies for food and fuel. The government started lifting subsidies in December 2010. $20 billion were saved from food, fuel, electricity and natural gas.
