SOCAR to continue creating transparent transit corridor to Europe

The company SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) in 2011-2012 will
continue to work on creating a transparent transit corridor for gas
supplies to European markets, the deputy vice-president of SOCAR,
Vitaly Beylarbeyov, said on Friday, Trend reports.

According to him, it is not just about natural gas supplies in the
second stage of development of the Shah Deniz field. In particular,
the company SOCAR has plans for gas production from the field Umid,

the development of the potential structure "Babak", and is preparing

to sign a contract with Germany's RWE on future structure of
Nakhchivan. There are also negotiations with the participants of the

project to develop Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli extraction of deep gas.
