Azerbaijan has extracted 238 million tons of oil and 60 billion cubic
meters of gas at the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field since 1997,
Vice-President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic
(SOCAR) for geology, geophysics and development, Khoshbakht Yusifzade,
said at the Caspian Oil and Gas 18th International Conference, Trend
reports.
111 million tons of oil were profitable.
7 million tons of gas condensate and 26 billion cubic meters of gas
have been extracted at Shah-Deniz since 2006.
Yusifzade said that Azerbaijan has 2 billion tons of oil and 2.2
trillion cubic meters of discovered gas reserves. Prospective reserves
are 10 billion tons.
