Mediators say Iran is not ready for negotiations on nuclear program

Negotiations on the nuclear program with Iran have yielded no result,
the UN Security Council and Germany (the six mediators) said at the
International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, announced by US
representative Glin Davis. The joint declaration of the mediators was
published by the US State Department, ITAR-TASS reports.

Russia, UK, Germany, China, USA and France attempted to start a
constructive dialogue with Iran. The last round of talks was held in
Istanbul in January. No results were reached. The problem may be
solved by either improving economic cooperation or taking harder
measures if Iran refuses to clarify its nuclear program.

Director General of the IAEA Yukiya Amano said that Iran does not want
to fulfil the obligations imposed on it by the UN Security Council
resolutions and the IAEA. These organizations believe that Iran's
nuclear program has a military nature.
