The Azerbaijani Railways Company has started reconstruction of the Baku – Beyuk Kyasik railway as part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars transport corridor, head of the company Nadir Azmamedov said, Trend reports.
Reconstruction of the 97km section Agstafa-Tatly has started.
ExIm Bank signed a credit to worth 215 million euro to realize the state program on development of the railway system of President Ilham Aliyev for 2010-2014, approved on July 6, 2010. The Azerbaijani government and the World Bank support development of railway trade and transport.
The Azerbaijani Railways Company and M STEEL PROJECT a.s., a subsidiary of the Moravia STEEL, signed a contract. The Czech company will provide 41,210 tons of R-65 railway, for 317 km of railways. Over 100 km of rails have been delivered.
583,280 of cross-pies are needed. They will be produced at the Alyatinsky factory. The main goal is to provide anough cross-pies for 317 km of Baku – Beyuk Kyasik railway line.
