President of Georgia examines construction of highway connecting West and East

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has inspected the progress of
work on the 15-kilometer stretch of the E-60 highway, Georgia Online
reports.

This is the main highway connecting Western and Eastern Georgia. Its
renovation is one of the most ambitious projects in the Caucasus.

According to the Minister for Regional Development and Infrastructure,
Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the construction of the road stretch connecting
Sveneti and Ruiz will be completed by November 23.
