Iran steps up mechanization of agriculture

Iranian Deputy Agriculture Minister Majid Hoshnud said in Gyarmsar
(Semnan Province) that about $1.5 billion will be invested on
mechanizing agriculture this year, Iran News reports.


Mechanization is a priority for the ministry, the deputy minister
said. It will reduce production costs and ease labour.


Mechanization will support Iranian agricultural companies, of which
there are over 2,200.
