Kazakh Minister for Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev has proposed lifting
licensing for minor oil refineries, News Kazakhstan reports.
Kazakhstan has 35 refineries, 3 of them large and 32 small. The only
demand should be fulfilment of Euro-2 standards and Euro-4 and 5 in
the future, the minister underlined.
The 32 minor refineries do not produce Euro-2 petrol. Most of their
products have been banned since 2010.
