Crops destroyed by locusts in five districts of Kalmykia

Agronomists have identified five areas in Kalmykia covered with
locusts. The total area is more than 36 thousand hectares, RIA Novosti
reports, quoting the press service of the Ministry of Emergency
Situations of the republic.

The spread of locusts in the country began in early June. At the
present moment crops in five areas of Kalmykia have been covered with
locusts.
