Dagestan looking for new place to build sugar-processing plant due to protests

The Dagestani authorities are looking for a new land to build a plant
for sugar beet processing due to frequent protests by the local
population, the head of the Agency for Investment and Foreign
Relations of Dagestan, Ali Nurmagomedov, said on Thursday, RIA Novosti
reports.


The population of the Nogai district opposes the use of animal farming
land for construction of the plant.
