The South Caucasus Railway (SCR) transported 7,800 passengers on the
Yerevan-Tbilisi line in January-May 2011, exceeding the indicator in
the same period of 2010 by 6.8%, News Armenia reports.
International transport in the last 5 months exceeded expectations of
transporting 6,600 passengers by 18.2%. 1371 passengers were
transported in May.
225,000 passengers were transported between cities in January-May
2011, exceeding the indicator in the same period of 2010 by 29.8%.
74,595 passengers were transported on the Yerevan-Gyumri line.
232,800 passengers used the services of the SCR in January-May 2011.
Freight reached 1.146 million tons (+12.9%).
Expectations of 1.062 million tons were exceeded by 8%. 147,100 tons
were exported in January-May 2011, exceeding expectations of 120,900
tons by 21.7%.
485,100 tons were imported, exceeding forecasts of 461,300 tons by 5.2%
