Russian President Dmitry Medvedev proposes urgent retirement of Tu-134
planes next year, RIA Novosti reports.
The president took part in an operative briefing of the agency about
the air crash of the Tu-134 in Karelia, in which 45 people died.
Medvedev made the statement during his visit to RIA Novosti, which is
marking its 70th anniversary. The visit was broadcast on the official
website of the agency.
