Armenia accused of violating WTO rules

Ukraine has accused Armenia and Mongolia of being in violation of
World Trade Organisation rules: the Ukrainian Ministry for the Economy
has disclosed discriminatory taxation on Ukrainian tobacco goods in
these countries, reports "Kommersant-Ukraine".
The conflict should be resolved by means of the protective mechanism
of the WTO, which recently helped Ukraine defend its interests in
Georgia.
The Ukrainian association "UkrTabak" has already started unofficial
consultations with the Armenian side on the issue of a discriminatory
rate of excise duties on tobacco.
The same violations have been uncovered regarding alcohol goods.
