The Georgian opposition party "Ourselves" regards the actions of the
"SOCAR Energy"company in the Shida Kartli region as being directed
against consumers. The chairman of the youth wing of the party, Irakli
Barbakadze, stated at a briefing that the company extorts money from
consumers, Business-Georgia reports.
Barbakadze said that the company forces people to return their gas
meters to the company and purchase new ones from the company with
their own money.
The "Ourselves" movement called on the National Energy Commission to
check instances of violation of consumer rights in the Shida Kartli
region.
