The Bushehr power plant built in Iran by Russian experts, will be put in operation in August, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told reporters on Monday, RIA Novosti reports.
Russia and Iran signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in peaceful use of atomic energy and an agreement on construction of a nuclear power in Iran in August 1992. In January 1995 a contract was signed for the completion of the first unit of the Bushehr NPP.
In late January 2011, the "ASE" carried out the next stage of the physical start of the first Iranian nuclear power plant, ITAR-TASS reports.
