Ukraine and Iran will jointly produce jet aircrafts of the next generation An-148/158, Interfax reports.
The parties have already signed an agreement on preliminary conditions according to which 18 machines are to be constructed for the Iranian customers in Ukraine, 60 more will built in Iran. The total of the deal is estimated at several billion dollars.
AN-148-100 is a regional jet aircraft of a new generation intended for the carriage of 99 passengers at a distance of up to seven thousand kilometers.
Ukraine and Iran already have a successful experience of cooperation in the aviation industry with the production of short-range aircraft An-140.
