The first hydraulic unit of the Chiryurtskaya HES-1 with a capacity of 36 MW was commissioned after a major renovation. Along with the repair works a complete modernization of the automatic control system, protection and alarm equipment with a hydropower system of permanent full-time control of vibration and thermal control has been carried out, RIA Dagestan reports.
Repair works took 76 days. During this period, a complete disassembly of the hydraulic unit took place, as well as tje replacement of the electric protection systems of the generator for microprocessors.
The upgrading of the main and auxiliary equipment of the station will significantly increase the level of safety, reliability and efficiency of operation of the hydropower station.
