The Stavropol transport prosecutor, Sergey Stepanov, addressed the
court of the Oktyabrsky District to stop the illegal discharge of
waste water from Stavropol International Airport, RIA Novosti cites
the court's press secretary Irina Kobozeva as saying.
Airport Director Vitaly Nenashev claims that they are not harming the
environment.
The Stavropol transport prosecutor and the Federal Service for
Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare inspected the site and
found violations. Sewage enters the Kizilovaya valley and the River
Chla. The director of the airport was fined 5,000 rubles.
