The chairman of the board of governors of “State Georgian
Electricity”, Sulkhan Zumburidze, signed a legal amendment to an
agreement on the construction of a 400-kilowatt power line during a
visit to Armenia, Business Georgia reports.
According to the state-owned company, the new power line will connect
the Marneuli substation (in Georgia) and the Razdan hydroelectric
power station on the territory of Armenia.
The new transmission line will provide supplies of Georgian
electricity to Iran through Armenia. The construction will be
completed by early 2014.
