Georgia and Azerbaijan restore rail connection

Georgia and Azerbaijan restored rail connection between the two
countries this morning, Trend reports.


The rail connection was broken when two tankers went off the rails
near the village of Mariani in the Kaspsky district in Eastern
Georgia. No one was injured.


The train was heading from the Georgian port of Poti to Azerbaijan.


It was the second rail accident in the last days. Two tankers went off
the rails at the village of Merelisi in Western Georgia on July 4.
They were heading from Poti to Armenia.
