The official currency reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan
increased by $539.8 million (8.4%) in the first half of 2011, reaching
$6.947 billion, Trend reports.
The bank expects currency reserves to exceed $8 billion by the end of 2011.
Azerbaijan's currency reserves increased by $310.8 million (4.9%) in
the first quarter of 2011, reaching $6.718 billion. The reserves
amounted to $6.407 billion at the end of 2010.
