The International Bank of Azerbaijan defined the consultant for establishing a special structure for providing Islamic banking services and products, Trend reports. It will be a consortium of the companies Salans, KPMG, Pinsent Masons and Dar al Shariah.
Yesterday the last session of the tender committee took place. It considered appraisals and analyses of the tender proposals.
In the next 10 days the Bank will sign an agreement with the consortium.
The structure is being established to develop Islamic banking in Azerbaijan. Moreover, the bank plans to promote its activities in the financial markets of Arab countries.
